i don't know about your kids, but mine are willing to eat a significantly larger quantity of vegetables if they are swimming in ranch dressing. And, really, who am I kidding? So am I.
But store-bought ranch dressing is not what we want to be letting our kids dig into, no matter how many vegetables it gets them to eat. It's full of trans fats, vegetable oil, artificial flavors, MSG, and more.
So what's the solution? Make your own, of course! This ranch dressing takes just a couple of minutes to throw together, and it is so delicious. You'll never miss that other junk...I promise! Plus, the recipe is so easy to remember. Each measurement is either 1/2 cup or 1/2 teaspoon. How simple is that?
You'll notice that this recipe DOES include dairy. Our family was 100% dairy-free for a couple of years while we worked on some gut issues. When we reintroduced dairy back into our diet, we did not have any issues. However, for the most part, we try to stick to only raw and/or fermented dairy made from whole milk. We don't do nonfat or low fat, and we don't drink pasteurized milk. That's what works for us, and what we feel is the most healthy and beneficial.
